Shelly Priest

Self-taught, Shelly began her professional photographic career in 1992 doing wedding and family photography. Now, an award-winning photographer and official photographer for the CJFL Calgary Colts, Shelly is an avid professional photographer with 35+ years experience in various genres of photography, more than 20 of those years has been with sports photography. She has photographed football, hockey, soccer, motocross, stock car racing, and waterskiing, as well as, concerts, events, nature, and family & pet portraits. 

​Sports:

After being the official photographer for an Alberta Jr B hockey team for 2 seasons, covering the 2019 Canada Winter Games, Calgary Marathon and numerous minor sports, sports remains one of her favourite genres of photography. Recently, Shelly was recognized by the Professional Photographers of Canada by being accredited in Sports Photography. 

Commercial: 

With her contacts from earning a diploma in architectural technology from NAIT, Shelly began doing work for an Edmonton architect and real estate agents. She carried on with this work once moving to Calgary working with home builders, real estate agents, hotels, restaurants, construction companies and also artists.

After many successful years of photography, Shelly decided to pursue formal training by achieving a certificate in photography from Mount Royal University in Calgary. Always up for a challenge, contact Shelly for your photographic needs and she will work to produce your vision.
